Job Description

Newcastle City Council is seeking an Adults Social Worker to join a community team based at Westgate Community College, Newcastle (NE4 9LU). This is a hybrid role combining home working and office attendance, with home visits required across the Newcastle area and occasionally wider North East for out-of-area placements.

The team works with adults under the age of 65, and the caseload includes Care Act assessments, safeguarding adults work, mental capacity assessments, home visits, and reviews.

The role is offered via Comensura at a rate of £27.56 per hour, with a start date of 27 July 2026. Social Work England registration is essential.
