Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join Liverpool City Council’s Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), working within the Family Help Team at the Front Door.

The MASH brings together professionals from a range of agencies who co-locate, share information, and combine their expertise to keep children and young people safe and ensure their needs are met. This integrated approach enables faster, more co-ordinated responses to referrals and supports earlier identification of safeguarding concerns, as all key information relating to a family is available in one place.

In this role you will be responsible for triaging contacts coming through the Front Door, applying Local Authority threshold criteria, and ensuring families are directed to the right level of support at the right time. You will work collaboratively alongside partner agencies, contributing to high-quality, timely decision-making for children and young people across Liverpool.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have experience in children’s safeguarding and assessment work. Experience of MASH or duty and assessment environments would be advantageous.

This is a locum position based at the Cunard Building, Liverpool city centre, paying £28.40–£37.99 per hour via Prism, with a start date of 3 August 2026.
