Job Description
Lancashire County Council is seeking a Children’s Continuing Care Nurse to join the PC&CH Policy Information and Commissioning (Start Well) department on a temporary basis, based primarily from home with occasional attendance at County Hall, Preston (PR1).
This is a largely remote role — desktop work with virtual meetings — though the postholder will be required to collect a laptop and attend an introduction day at County Hall at the start of the assignment. Thereafter, home working is expected throughout.
The role sits within children’s continuing care, reviewing and processing checklists and referrals as detailed in the attached job description. The department focuses on commissioning and policy within children’s health and care services.
The assignment begins as soon as possible following interview, with an initial term reviewed at four weeks and the possibility of extension beyond that point.
Rate: £27.65 per hour. Start date: 27 July 2026.
If you hold relevant nursing qualifications and experience in children’s continuing care or NHS continuing healthcare, please get in touch today.
