Social Care Officer – Family Time Team – #5299664

Job Description

Newcastle City Council is seeking Social Care Officers to join their Family Time Team, based at Westgate Community College, Newcastle (NE4 9LU). This is a full-time, temporary role paying £20.70 per hour, starting 5 July 2026 for an initial period of approximately 3 months.

In this role you will support children and young people in the care of the local authority to have safe and meaningful family time with their parents and other family members. Work will be primarily based at one of Newcastle’s family centres but will also involve community visits across the city.

Free parking is available at the family centres, and work-related mileage will be reimbursed. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential requirements for this post.
