Childrens Operations Manager – IRO Service – #5298268

Job Description

Durham County Council is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join its IRO Service on an interim basis, based at Spennymoor Green Lane Council Offices, DL16 6JQ. Paying £34.25 per hour, this role covers a vacancy whilst permanent recruitment is undertaken.

You will be one of two Operations Managers overseeing a team of Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) and two Allegations Management Advisors (LADOs). The service is currently undergoing a restructure (without redundancies), so you must be confident in supporting teams through organisational change and ideally hold an interest in the Lead Child Protection Practitioner role.

A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England is required, along with demonstrable experience at a management level within children’s services, particularly in IRO or child protection settings.
