Job Description

Somerset Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join their Adult Safeguarding service in Taunton (TA1 4DY). This is a locum role paying between £27.78 and £38.00 per hour, available from 29 June 2026.

Candidates must meet one of the following experience requirements: at least one year of experience working in an adult safeguarding service as a qualified social worker, or a minimum of two years of experience conducting Section 42(2) enquiries as a substantial part of a current or previous role.
