Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join the City of Doncaster Council, working within the Chief Executives service area.

This is a permanent, full-time post paying £40,778 per annum. The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive occupational health service, providing expert clinical advice and guidance to managers and employees across a varied and complex local authority environment.

Key responsibilities include health surveillance, case management, pre-placement assessments, and advising on fitness to work, rehabilitation, and workplace health interventions. You will engage with multidisciplinary teams, external providers, and unionised settings, requiring strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Candidates must hold Registered General Nurse (RGN) status with a degree or diploma in Occupational Health, and be able to demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional development. You will bring sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, clinical governance frameworks, and occupational health best practice.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, resilient under pressure, and capable of working independently while managing competing priorities.
