Job Description

Semester Recruitment is seeking a qualified Children’s Social Worker for a temporary secondment cover position at the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Doncaster, working for City of Doncaster Council’s Children, Young People and Families service.

Based at Colonnades House, Duke Street, Doncaster (DN1 1ER), this role runs from 25 May 2026 to 10 August 2026, paying £32–£35 per hour.

The MASH team sits at the front door of children’s services, receiving and triaging referrals, undertaking multi-agency information sharing, and making informed recommendations about the level of intervention required for children and families. You will work collaboratively with partner agencies including police, health, and education to safeguard children and young people.

Candidates must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Prior MASH or front-door/duty and assessment experience is highly desirable. Experience working within a DfE-regulated children’s services environment is advantageous.
