Job Description
An experienced Deputy Team Manager / Advanced Practitioner is required for a Children’s Safeguarding team at Liverpool City Council, based at Edge Hill, L7 1PH. This is a non-case-holding role covering absence, offering £40ph (Ltd), working three days per week in the office with free car parking.
You will support the Team Manager in leading a busy team of approximately ten social workers of mixed experience and qualification, with a specific focus on managing risk within Child Protection. Robust, confident decision-making and the ability to work at pace are essential. You will be responsible for supervising and managing social workers, driving improvements in practice and performance, and delivering better outcomes for children and young people.
Candidates must have demonstrable experience as a Deputy Team Manager in a children’s safeguarding or child protection setting, with sound knowledge of relevant children’s legislation, statutory guidance, frameworks, and procedures. Experience as a Practice Educator would be a significant advantage.
