Job Description

An experienced Team Manager is sought to join Bromley’s Safeguarding (West) Team on a locum basis, based at Churchill Court in Bromley, BR1 1AS. This is an immediate-start assignment initially covering three months, with a rate of £45.20 per hour via Umbrella or Ltd company.

This is a senior leadership role within Children’s Social Care, requiring a confident and experienced Team Manager who can hit the ground running in a busy safeguarding environment. You will be responsible for overseeing complex safeguarding and care planning cases, providing robust supervision and management to a team of qualified social workers, and ensuring practice standards are maintained to the highest level.

Key responsibilities will include managing referrals and allocation of complex cases, chairing strategy discussions and child protection conferences as required, supporting practitioners through reflective supervision, and working closely with partner agencies to deliver effective outcomes for children and families.

Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have demonstrable Team Manager experience within Children’s Social Care — ideally within a safeguarding service. Applications from candidates without CSC Team Manager experience will not be considered for this role.
