Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join Children’s Services based at Delamere House, Crewe (CW1 2JZ). This is a locum role offering a competitive rate of £39.00 per hour, available from 21st April 2026 on an ongoing basis.

Working within a children’s social work setting, you will hold a manageable caseload and contribute meaningfully to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people across the area. You will be supported by experienced management and work collaboratively within a committed multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities will include conducting assessments, managing and reviewing cases, attending reviews and conferences, and maintaining accurate case recording in line with statutory requirements. You will be expected to work in accordance with relevant legislation, local authority policies, and professional standards set by Social Work England.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognised Social Work qualification (BA or MA in Social Work, or equivalent), be registered with Social Work England, and have demonstrable post-qualifying experience within a children’s social care setting. An Enhanced DBS check including the Children’s Barred List will be required for this position.
