A Cared For Social Worker Advanced Practitioner provides high‑quality, relationship‑based social work to children and young people who are cared for, ensuring their safety, stability and wellbeing. The role offers expert oversight on complex cases, modelling best practice and supporting consistent, child‑centred decision making. Advanced Practitioners work closely with partners, families and carers to secure positive outcomes and uphold the child’s voice in all planning and review activity.

The post also acts as a practice leader within the team, offering guidance, coaching and reflective support to social workers. Advanced Practitioners contribute to improving practice quality by providing specialist advice, strengthening assessments, and helping create a learning culture where staff develop confidence, capability and resilience in delivering excellent social work.
