Job Description

Operate Monday-Friday – 08:30am – 5pm

8×37 hours/week; we would be able to consider p/t if people take full days to ensure hours are completed

Key Skills/Requirements;

  • Essential: For me they need basic training – moving and handling, cafita training, safeguarding, infection prevention – we support older people with dementia so dementia awareness training would be good 

  • Residents have some very complex needs, including mental and physical injuries so new care and support workers wouldn’t be suitable – vast experience, community care, residential care, supported living 

  • Desirable: Experience working with primary health needs, don’t need to be registered nurses but clinical experience would be good  

  • NVQ L2/3 would be ideal to show they have the knowledge basis 

  • Driver is desirable but non-essential 

  • Flexible:  Creativity to get involved in different activities – outgoing personality – personal care, emotional support but mainly your ability to keep people occupied and entertained and out of the house
