Job Description
To work as a member of a multi-agency team with children with the statutory aim of reducing first time entrants, reoffending, and custody rates. To work in accordance with the YJS service principles: ‘Child first, Trauma informed and Restorative’ and the Probation Service Values of: ‘Purpose, Humanity, Openness and Together’. Responsible for supervision and management of children in secure estate and community, assessment, intervention planning, enforcement of sentences, providing advice to courts, and working with families and partner agencies to ensure safety and compliance. Includes producing reports, representing YJS in courts, and promoting restorative justice approaches.
