Semester Recruitment are currently working with Wakefield Council, who are looking for an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join a friendly and stable locality team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner who enjoys mentoring and supporting others while maintaining a manageable caseload. The role is key in supporting practice development, performance, and quality across the team.

🔍 What the Role Involves:

  • Holding a reduced and capped caseload, allowing time to focus on team development and support

  • Supporting ASYE social workers and less experienced staff through coaching, reflective supervision, and modelling good practice

  • Promoting consistent, high-quality decision-making and interventions across the team

  • Contributing to case discussions, audits, and continuous service improvement

  • Maintaining strong, positive working relationships across the wider service and multi-agency teams

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

  • Substantial experience in statutory children’s services

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor other practitioners

  • Confident in managing complex cases and supporting reflective practice

  • Committed to delivering high standards of care and outcomes for children and families
