Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Blackburn with Darwen Childrens Services, who have recently been rated ‘Good’ in its full ILACS Ofsted inspection, seek 2 full time experienced agency social workers to work within its Safeguarding and Support team.  The role will be mainly carrying out parenting assessments within pre-proceedings and there may be the requirement to carry some care proceedings work. One role is to start as soon as possible, and another to start in June/July.

Candidates must be fully compliant and ideally have a complete set of references, a current enhanced DBS check and SWE registration with no notations.

They must have access to a car on a daily basis and be willing to be office based 3 days per week and additionally for any emergencies and to meet service needs.

Competence at managing a caseload is required.

Candidates will be competent at IT and keeping records up to date and it would be beneficial but not essential to have experience of Liquid Logic.
