Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

The following is essential criteria:

– Degree in Social Work

– SWE Registration

– Right to work within the UK

The Children with Disibilites Team manages a range of children on Child Protection and Child in Need plans, as well as children in the care of the local authority. These children are amoungst the most vulnerable children in the local authority and many of them are at risk of significant harm. The team of social workers require a highly skilled social work manager to support and lead them in managing the care and support of the children within the team. Supervision of all staff need to be undertaken by a manager or the Practice manager. Strategy meetings with police and other professionals need to be undertaken by the team manager and court proceedings are overseen by the team manager. The Team Manager also manages all complaints, capabilites and sickness procedures within the team.  The Team Manager will manage 7 staff in the team, complete the NQSW portfolio information and oversee the complex cases including care proceedings of children within the team.
