Children' Social Worker (Child Protection) 5177673

We require a qualified, experienced social worker for our Child Protection Team in Liskeard whilst recruitment takes place.

The successful candidate should be able to hold child protection cases, have good written and verbal communication skills to work with a range of professionals and vulnerable families and Chair multi-agency core group meetings. To complete and present reports within the Child Protection arena using Signs of Safety approach.


• Court work including formulating and writing social work evidence, care plans and assessments;


• Child Protection work including risk assessments, reports to Child Protection reviews, management & chairing of multi-agency core groups


• Working closely with children of all ages and with parents in often extremely stressful circumstances


The candidate must hold a recognised social work qualification and be able to travel and have their own transport. The role is initially for 3 months with the possibility of being reviewed for extension.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Children's
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
