Strategy and Investment is responsible for the management and delivery of investment to our domestic properties. The role as Senior Technical Officer is outlined below:
To be the technical lead for the frontline delivery of planned, repair or improvement related projects to council assets. This will include direct technical support on preparing contract documentation and day to day contract liaison.
Ensure all activities are manged in compliance with legal, regulatory, contract and internal requirements.
Provide direct line management/supervision to a team of frontline technical staff.
To ensure the effective day to day management of contractors and Internal Service Providers and appropriate maintenance of council housing assets.
To implement and manage programmes of work in-line with available resources and to agreed timescales, and to ensure that overall value for money is achieved through the effective monitoring of quality standards.
You will support the delivery of service plans in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the continuous and on-going innovation and improvement of the service in-line with council objectives in order to achieve excellence.
We would expect that you would continually drive a value for money, customer focused service.

You must have:
- Previous experience within the same or similar role.
- Along with your 'Right to Work' documents we will need 2-3 references from previous employers.
- Relevant qualifications/certificates.
- DBS desired (Not essential for all roles)
