Practice Development Manager - Targeted Intervention Service 1x37.5 hrs

Our children’s services team is leading the way with exciting developments to further improve the lives of children and families in Blackpool.


As a result, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Development Manager to work in our Targeted Intervention Service delivering services to children, young people and families across our town.


The Targeted Intervention Service brings together teams who deliver support to Children and Families including our Leaving Care Service. The Practice Development Manager will provide leadership to ensure that the highest standards of effective practice are delivered and maintained by the service. The focus will be on achieving the best outcomes for those we serve, the highest possible professional standards, managing and motivating a multi-disciplinary staff team, having oversight of case management and ensuring effective assessment and outcome-based interventions are delivered.

Are you the passionate candidate we’re looking for?


You’ll need:
•Manager skills with a proven ability to manage staff within a multi-agency setting;
•Excellent communication skills;
•The ability to drive high quality practice with a focus on both quality and compliance;
•To be a reflective manager who promotes staff development.


You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Children's, in particular previous experience of Assessment work
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
