Job Description
The post is within the Assessment & Safeguarding Service. The team support children and families from the point that a referral requires social work support and intervention. The case load would be a variety of Child and Families Assessments, Children in Need, Child Protection, Children in our care and some public/private care proceedings. Darlington is a small local authority who practice using a relational practice framework, we have good relationships with partner organisations across the Local Authority. The team have direct support integrated into the service from targeted/intensive family support and a Family Group Conference Service.
