Experienced SW required for adult social care team

2 QSWs (37hrs, flexible working hours)
3 months placements for a backlog of urgent work
Experience L32/L3 QSW required
South Kirklees Adults Care Team understaking assessments for ages 18 +
Service users: mix mental & physical health, learning needs, Autism, undiagnosed learning disabilities, Drug and alcohol issues
Supervisor in team to support with wellbeing discussions
Not unlikely to hold up to 12 complex caseloads where legal may be involved
Supervisor in team to support with wellbeing discussions

Primarily home working
Will have some home visits for self neglect/hoarding cases for environments to be assessed.
Urgent visits only (risk assessment prior to home visits)
Where capacity assessments have failed remotely, then a home visit will be required.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Children, in particular previous experience of Assessment work
  • Social Work England registration or Social Care Wales registration for North Wales.
  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
