Engineering Assistant/Apprentice

The Vacancy

We are looking for an Engineering Assistant/Apprentice to join us in providing first class after sales support to our service and warranty customers.

We are seeking a motivated individual, to provide support and assistance to our Engineers.

The role will include travelling to our customers premises in and around the North and Midlands areas, to assist with our Engineers. We are looking for someone who is keen to progress and develop their skills, with a goal of becoming a qualified Gas Engineer. Full and ongoing training will be provided to ensure you can provide the best service to our clients.

Main Duties will be:

§ To attend to planned service visits and reactive breakdowns, primarily on Radiant Heaters and on other appliances within the customers premises.

§ Carry out tasks as assigned by the Engineer or Line Managers

§ Carry out assistance to the engineers while they carry out installation, service and commissioning and inspection of installations to ensure compliance with our installation requirements.

§ Communicate with Engineers and Line Managers on a regular basis § To work in line with current regulations and legislation.

§ To ensure risk assessments are adhered to.

You will:

§ Live in or around the Doncaster area and be prepared to travel outside this area

§ Be flexible with working extended hours and be prepared to stay away from home overnight when required – hotels and meals provided

§ Be interested in developing your skills and knowledge with a goal of becoming a qualified Gas Heating Engineer

§ Have excellent communication skills

§ Hold a Full, clean Driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years – Van supplied

§ Hold a valid passport

Salary and Benefits Package:

§ Salary in the region of £17,000 depending on age and experience

§ Vehicle and fuel provided (business use)
