• Provide positive managership, support and advice to social work staff
• Assist the Team Manager in ensuring the delivery of effective services for adults through the promotion of high

The successful candidate will be a skilled, effective practitioner acting with considerable autonomy. They should have in depth knowledge and skill in more than one fields of practice which may have been developed through a formal post – qualifying training and development activity. They should be an experienced practice educator and ASYE assessor and support student social workers and newly qualified social workers. They should have a postgraduate qualification and role in specialised practice e.g., AMHP, BIA. They will need to have capability to integrate professional knowledge, the views of people using services and research/evaluation evidence routinely in their practice and be able to support the team to do so. They will need to demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, assessing and managing higher levels of risk while promoting enablement and self-determination. They will need to network and liaise with a wider range of professionals and other colleagues, including at more senior or strategic levels. They will need to manage a complex workload whilst supporting the team and the team manager. The advanced social work practitioner is expected to promote a culture of professional curiosity and contribute to the positive social work identity within the organisation.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Adults
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
