Adults Mental Health Social WorkerThe job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Practitioner/Deputy Manager within a CMHT Team. The role is hybrid in that the post holder will be expected to hold a small caseload, while supervising Council employed social workers and assessment workers, as well as providing guidance to members of the team, particularly in relation to local authority statutory functions. The team is comprised of both health and social care staff. The CMHT Team Manager is a health manager. Professional supervision is offered to the Advanced Practitioner/Deputy Manager by the Social Care and AMHP Manager. 

ESSENTIAL: 

  1. Social Work qualification

  2. Registered with Social Work England

  3. Clean driving licence

  4. DBS checked

  5. Minimum of 6 years post qualifying experience

  6. Experience of line managing and supervising staff, overseeing professional development of others, overseeing performance and quality assurance

  7. Gaps in employment history checked

  8. Experience of statutory Adult Care Services and also Secondary Mental Health Services

  9. Knowledge and experience of undertaking assessments of need, scheduled and unscheduled reviews, devising care plans, commissioning services, mental capacity assessments, statutory safeguarding, social circumstance reports, deprivation of liberty safeguards, court of protection work. 

  10. Knowledge and experience of relevant statutory frameworks.

  1. AMHP qualification

  2. BIA qualification

  3. Practice Educator
