Job Description

Bury Council (GM Collaboration) is seeking a Childrens Social Worker to join the CASS (Cared for Children / Looked After Children) team based at 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury, BL9 0EJ.

This is a locum role paying £35 per hour, running from 22 June 2026 to 3 August 2026.

Candidates must have a relevant social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have a minimum of 5 years’ references with employment history gaps fully accounted for.

This role is sourced via XMS. Suppliers must complete the DfE Recommendation Compliance Questions on the Details tab and attach the completed file to the candidate record prior to submission. Applications that do not pass the DfE compliance questions will not be progressed.
