Job Description

Deputy Team Manager in Permanence Team 2

We require an experienced Deputy Team Manager within our Permanence Service to effectively support the Team Manager and social work teams.

The candidate must have a proven track record as a Deputy Team Manager in Permanence (Looked after Children/Children in our Care) and be confident in the application of all legal proceedings and legal frameworks, with a robust understanding of young people’s whole journey.
Must be experienced in analysing and minimising risk and supporting positive long-term change and improvements, supporting with clear pathway planning
Will support a high-performance culture within the team, with consistent good practice across the team.
Will actively support the team manager in decision making, chairing meetings and actively working in partnership with partners/multi-agencies, particularly Police, Health and Education, to be able to advocate for our young people to secure the access to the services that they need.
Will support all recruitment, induction, training and effective supervision of all team members, championing professional career development. 
Will be a Practice Educator.
