Post Title: Advanced Practitioner

Service: Adult Care/Mental Health

Location: 1st post Community Mental Health Team Sudden Resource Centre, Rochdale

2nd post Community Mental Health Team Hanson Corner, Middleton

Applicants must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England and have significant post qualifying experience. The working environment is dynamic with a strong focus on working together with partners. (AMHP qualification welcome but not essential. For those who may be qualified AMHPs there are opportunities to continue practice via supporting our AMHP hub and will receive CPD opportunities and professional AMHP supervision in return).

Applicant should have current experience working in a community mental health setting, with the skills to work directly with Adults with complex mental health needs, and offer mentoring guidance and support to staff as a senior member of the multi-disciplinary community mental health team.

Applicants will need sound knowledge of legislative and policy frameworks relevant to mental health work with vulnerable adults.

Adult safeguarding and Making Safeguarding Personal is a key part of the role. As well as being experienced in safeguarding work, this position will require successful applicants to act as safeguarding adults manager in cases open to the team.

Applicants should have experience of acting in a supervisory role.

Initially 4 months subject to review.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Adults
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
