Job Description

Bury Council (GM Collaboration) is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker for hospital-based social work in Bury (BL9 7TD). This is a temporary role running from 22 June to 18 September 2026, paying £30 per hour.

The post focuses on hospital social work and discharge planning, with the successful candidate expected to cover multiple hospital sites across the area. Weekend working is required as part of this cross-site cover arrangement.

Applicants must hold a recognised social work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and be able to provide three years of references with any gaps in employment history accounted for. Previous experience in hospital discharge is strongly preferred.
