Currently recruiting for our homes in Hadfield, Glossop and Tintwhistle

My client is interested in talking to individuals looking for a move within the sector, as well as people considering a career change, even if you think you lack the necessary qualifications! We have a number of full-time roles available for Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join our teams based in beautiful homes in an idyllic Peak District setting. In return we offer:

Shifts – 8am – 5pm, 5pm – 11pm and Overnight (11-8).

Typically though you will do a 15 hr shift and a sleep, so 8-11/sleep, once or twice a week so essentially 3 work days and 4 off.

  • £11.75 – £12.70 per hour, depending on experience
  • £66 per sleep-in, typically 6-8 a month
  • Salary for sull time is up to £31k
  • If the sleep is disturbed you will get paid for that on top of the sleep

My client offers flexibility on shifts, as a full time member of the team you will be expected to work at least 3 full day sleeps a week, and 4 days off. However other shifts maybe available:

Key responsibilities of our Senior Support Worker:

•           Ensuring each young person is cared for effectively, addressing their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs

•           Supporting, assisting and providing guidance and boundaries for, looked after children and young people, in a safe and stable residential environment

•           Actively safeguarding, promoting the welfare of, and advocating on behalf of children and young people, to ensure that the quality of care provided is outstanding

•           Leading, supervising and supporting staff members at junior levels as they provide round-the-clock care and support that is consistent with our Homes' quality standards and Statements of Purpose

•           Assisting our Homes' management teams in ensuring that policies, procedures and record-keeping measures are adhered to, and that resources are deployed effectively and efficiently

Our Support Workers must:

•           be aged 21 or over & eligible to work in the UK

•           have a full manual driving licence

•           have a good standard of both written and spoken English

•           have at least 1 years direct experience supporting young people
