Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

The following is essential criteria:

– Degree in Social Work

– SWE Registration

– Right to work within the UK

This post is for a Panel Adviser on a part time basis, three days a week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Candidate must be onsite for 2 weeks initially for induction and then 1 day per week WFH after that

The successful applicant must have strong experience in managing Panels and have a thorough understanding of the Fostering Services Regulations. The priorities of the role are:

– A focus on QA of Panel papers to ensure the Foster Panel can proceed with the business and progress to ADM.

– Ensuring the Panel membership is compliant and that there is a stable membership group in order that the Panel can grow and develop together

– Putting in place a training plan for the Panel and the Fostering Service to undertake joint training

– Providing a weekly clinic for Fostering Staff to receive advice and support with writing and preparing reports

– Set up a fortnightly Panel Matters meeting with TM’s from Fostering Service and Fostering Reviewing Officers to review ADM decisions/actions to follow up, look at themes and patterns.
