Advanced Practice Leads Urgently required  £35 per hour

In Tameside, we are continuing to strengthen the implementation of the Signs of Safety programme across the whole organisation to build on and develop good practice.

To help us achieve this, we are really excited to be expanding our Signs of Safety Development and Support Team.

The role

We are recruiting to the positions of Signs of Safety Advanced Practice Leads. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people who will be instrumental in continuing to drive best practice in the day to day application of the Signs of Safety approach.

As Signs of Safety Advanced Practice Lead, you will have sound knowledge and experience of using the Signs of Safety framework and have demonstrable experience in working with children, young people and their families.

You will be linked to an identified team to support Social Workers in their day to day practice, responding to the learning needs of the team and working in collaboration with the Training Lead. You will have the ability to role model best practice and provide coaching and mentoring support on a day to day basis.

You will positively influence best practice, increase skills, confidence and knowledge of all professionals.

You will be motivated, committed and passionate about making a difference to the lives of children, young people and families.

Amongst other things you will be confident with a determination to raise standards and achieve improved outcomes.

You will establish and maintain strong professional relationships with our partners to deliver effective support for children, young people and families.

You will collaborate with others to create the best results for children and their families.

You will receive regular supervision and work in a supportive culture where we are ambitious about delivering an effective service. We listen to our staff and act on feedback in a variety ways through having regular team meetings, employee engagement sessions and staff surveys.

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work and experience of working with Children’s
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Post qualified experience.
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.
  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
