Job Description

Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

The following is essential criteria:

– Degree in Social Work

– SWE Registration

– Right to work within the UK

A learning disability team in the city of Manchester. We are looking for experienced social workers who have worked with people who have a learning disability, have care act, mental capacity act and best interests experience. Alongside risk management and multiagency working. You will partake in the duty rota and will lead on S42 safeguarding enquiries as and when necessary.

We want people who can work independently but are team focused. We expect hybrid working. 

In Manchester we work in a strength-based approach using a model of applied behavioural science, alongside person centred approaches.

Initially 3-6 months

You must have:

  • A professional qualification in social work

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Post qualified experience.

  • Enhanced DBS/Update service.

  • References required for the last 5 years of employment.
