Job Description
The role covers Lancashire, Blackpool and out of county so we require a social worker who is able to transport themselves accordingly. We require experience of completing assessments similar to prospective adopter reports and preferably experience of working within adoption although this is not essential. Interviews to take place 7/11. Core values and job purpose include supporting the recruitment of adopters, providing advice, training and support to adults inquiring about becoming adopters, undertaking assessments of prospective adopters, and supporting adopters and their family to an appropriate match and to gaining an adoption order. Duties include undertaking thorough and complex assessments of adoptive applicants, planning and participating in preparation and training of adoptive applicants, supporting adoptive applicants through the process of matching and into placement, and contributing to the development of the service. Other responsibilities include compliance with council policies and participation in staff development and training.
