Full time ASWP with our Support Families First in our Worcester and Malvern team.

We have an exciting locum vacancy for an ASWP in our Worcester and Malvern pod to provide additional capacity to the three existing permanent ASWP’s. S.F.F is a multi-disciplinary team who work with children and their families where a Child in Need Plan is place. In addition, we also work with families where there are challenge to care issues. Each pod has a range of different disciplines which supports the plan overseen by the ASWP. We have Money Mentors, Family Support Workers, Youth Mentors, Outreach Support Workers, Substance Misuse Worker, and Administration Officers. In addition, we also have Family Meeting Coordinators and Emotional Health and Well being Workers attached to the service. This innovative way of working has proved successful producing positive outcomes for some our most vulnerable children and families within the County. Our intervention with families is based on a model of a maximum of 16 weeks in most cases but can be extended if required. Our aim is to keep families together if it is safe and appropriate to do so, therefore this is a dynamic, proactive, and creative team and is at the heart of what good social work practice is about. Following a recent OFSTED inspection, they said the following about S.F.F “ The service is very effective and results in concerns reducing, and most children being successfully diverted from care and able to remain living with their families”.
