Job Description

South Tyneside Council is seeking a qualified Adults Social Worker to join the Hospital Discharge Team at South Tyneside District Hospital, Harton Lane, South Shields.

This is a temporary assignment running from 14 September to 11 December 2026 (approximately 3 months), covering long-term sickness and supporting the team during an ongoing recruitment process.

The role is based on-site at South Tyneside District Hospital. Candidates must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
