Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bradford Children and Families Trust (BCFT) as a Senior Social Worker within the Keighley and Shipley Team 4, based at Sir Henry Mitchell House, Bradford (BD5 0QL). This is a hybrid role paying £35.00 per hour, available from 7 September 2026.
BCFT is at the heart of Bradford — the UK City of Culture — and is actively seeking experienced locality social workers to join a small, well-supported team working with children and families across CIN, Child Protection, PLO, and care proceedings.
The Trust prides itself on manageable caseloads, flexible working arrangements, and strong management supervision — ensuring practitioners can deliver a genuinely high-quality service to the families they support. Teams are intentionally small in structure so that every social worker receives meaningful oversight and professional development opportunities.
You will be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England, with solid post-qualifying experience in children and families work including CIN, CP, PLO, and care proceedings. Experience as a Senior Social Worker or in a similar advanced practitioner capacity within a children’s statutory setting is essential.
Please note: previously rejected candidates must not be resubmitted.
