Childrens Advanced Practitioner – Out of Hours Service – #000B25661

Job Description

An experienced Childrens Advanced Practitioner is required for the Out of Hours Service at Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, based at Fairfield Children’s Centre, Ashton Under Lyne (M43 6AF).

This is a temporary role running from 20 July to 31 October 2026, paying £23.82–£40 per hour.

The Out of Hours Service operates outside normal working hours providing vital support to children and families. The team works on a 2-week rota, meaning workers have every other weekend off. There is also some daytime working to support relationships with day-team colleagues. Each shift is made up of 4 Senior Practitioners, supported by alternatively qualified support workers and a dedicated Team Manager. The service is office-based until 22:00 in a warm and friendly environment.

Candidates must be able to provide 5 years of references with gaps in employment history checked and hold relevant qualifications as per the job description and person specification.
