Job Description

Barnsley Children’s Services is seeking two full-time Senior Social Workers for its Children’s Integrated Front Door, based at Westgate Plaza One, Barnsley (S70 2DR). This is an initial 3-month contract from 17 July to 30 September 2026, at £35 per hour, with the possibility of extension.

Working within a MASH/Screening environment, you will work at pace to apply a clear understanding of thresholds, undertake risk assessments, complete safety plans, and analyse information from multiple sources to ensure children receive the right level of service at the right time.

Previous experience within a Signs of Safety framework and use of Mosaic is preferred. As the post is based within a police building, candidates must consent to vetting checks by South Yorkshire Police; hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days WFH) will apply once vetting is complete.
