Job Description

Barnet Council is seeking a qualified Adults Social Worker to join their Adult Social Care service, based in Colindale (NW9 4EW). This is a temporary role offering £183.38–£253.15 per day, starting 23 June 2026.

You will deliver high-quality social work in line with the Council’s statutory duties, divisional policy and procedures, and the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will focus on achieving social care outcomes aligned with the Department of Health’s Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework.

Key responsibilities include undertaking new adult assessments, carrying out safeguarding enquiries, conducting reviews of care and support needs, and providing day-to-day support to the management team in managing incoming demand.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of post-qualifying experience in adult social care and must hold a recognised social work qualification with current Social Work England registration.
