Customer Service Advisor – Care & Wellbeing Hub (Carers) – #OR104369

June 4, 2026
£13 - £17 / hour

Job Description

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join its Care & Wellbeing Hub, working specifically within the Carers Service in Lincoln. This is a sensitive and rewarding role supporting unpaid carers across the county.

You will be responsible for making pre-booked and ad-hoc outbound calls to unpaid carers, using professional curiosity and high emotional intelligence to build immediate rapport. During each call you will determine the nature of the caring role, assess its impact on the individual, and help identify practical solutions. All information will be recorded accurately on the Mosaic case management system, written up against a defined framework, with next actions agreed with the carer.

Key responsibilities include: making and managing outbound and inbound contacts by telephone, email, e-referral and chat; applying a strengths-based methodology; producing and updating Carers Emergency Response Plans; making onward referrals to appropriate professionals and third-party organisations; and maintaining compliance with PCI data security standards.

The subject matter can be demanding and distressing, so resilience and compassion are essential. You will need GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, and demonstrable experience in a customer service or administrative environment. Knowledge of or experience in social care is desirable.

The role is based at 36 Orchard Street, Lincoln, LN1 1XX. Pay rate: £12.79–£16.53 per hour. Start date: 20 July 2026, sourced via Prism. Apply now to be considered.
