Adults Mental Health Social Worker – Community Mental Health Team – #000B19BC1

Job Description

Salford City Council is seeking a qualified Mental Health Social Worker to work across two council-managed teams embedded within Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) CMHT bases — Cromwell House CMHT and Ramsgate House CMHT in Salford.

This is a focused statutory role with no care co-ordination responsibilities. Workers concentrate on Care Act duties, section 117 aftercare, and adult safeguarding, working collaboratively alongside health colleagues in a co-located CMHT environment.

Hybrid working is in place, with a minimum of three days per week based in the office. The role is offered at £30 per hour, starting 22 June 2026 through to 11 September 2026.

Applicants must be qualified social workers registered with Social Work England, with demonstrable experience in adult mental health services and a sound working knowledge of Care Act and s.117 frameworks.
