Job Description
The London Borough of Redbridge is seeking a Performance & Insight Analyst to provide embedded analytical expertise across its ambitious council-wide Modernisation Programme, delivered in the context of Exceptional Financial Support (EFS). This is a fast-paced, programme-facing contract role (3–6 months, hybrid, Ilford) at £300–£350 per day Umbrella, with an immediate start potential from 22 June 2026.
Working at the heart of transformation activity, you will develop and maintain performance frameworks, produce high-quality dashboards and briefings for senior stakeholders up to Cabinet level, and translate complex datasets into clear, decision-ready insight. You will define and track benefits profiles covering savings, productivity and demand reduction, establish robust baselines, and conduct in-flight and post-implementation analysis. Designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards providing a portfolio-level view of performance sits at the core of the role, alongside improving management information quality and consistency across the organisation.
You will partner with colleagues across Modernisation, Finance, Digital, PMO and service areas, responding rapidly to urgent analytical requests and acting as a critical friend to programme leads.
Essential: local authority experience in a performance, insight or analytical role; strong capability with operational, financial and performance data; Advanced Excel and Power BI; ability to build credibility with Head of Service-level stakeholders; and the ability to work at pace across competing priorities. Desirable: experience supporting transformation or financial recovery programmes; knowledge of benefits realisation or demand modelling; and technical skills in SQL, DAX or Python/R.
