Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Childrens Social Worker to join a busy children’s services team based at Delamere House, Crewe (CW1 2JZ), offering a competitive rate of £39.00 per hour.

This role sits within a children’s social work setting requiring both children’s and adults DBS clearance, indicating a broad and varied caseload that may span child protection, children in need, looked-after children, or related statutory functions. You will carry out statutory social work duties, undertaking assessments, care planning, and direct work with children and families in line with current legislation and local authority procedures.

You will be expected to manage a complex caseload independently whilst contributing positively to the wider team, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards of practice. Strong recording and report-writing skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet statutory timescales.

To be considered you must hold a recognised social work qualification (BA/MA Social Work or equivalent), be registered with Social Work England, and have demonstrable post-qualifying experience within a children’s statutory setting. A current enhanced DBS (children’s and adults barred list) will be required prior to commencement.
