Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join an Early Intervention Integrated Services team in Wigan, covering a contract through to September 2026.

This role sits across a broad integrated service encompassing Reablement, Equipment and Adaptations, and Assistive Technology. You will work directly with service users who are experiencing difficulties completing activities of daily living and facing reduced levels of independence — helping them to regain confidence, function, and autonomy in their own homes and communities.

Key responsibilities will include holistic OT assessment, the provision and review of equipment and adaptations, reablement planning, and the integration of assistive technology solutions into care pathways. You will be working as part of a collaborative, early-intervention-focused team committed to maximising independence and reducing long-term care needs.

Candidates must hold a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Previous experience within a community, reablement, or integrated adult services setting is highly desirable. Experience with equipment and adaptations assessments and familiarity with assistive technology will be a distinct advantage.

The role is based at Cross Street, Hindley, Wigan (WN2 3AX), commencing 18 May 2026 until 30 September 2026. The rate on offer is £30–£35 per hour.
