Job Description
We know that the first response we give to children and families, often known as our ‘front door’, is critical. The social care reform programme encourages us to think about our front door in a new way. We need to make it easier for families to get the right help at the right time and protect children from harm. Families may need support from the voluntary/community sector, our Family Help teams, or our social work teams. We are looking for an experienced social workers to bring their knowledge and experience to our “test and learn pilot” in the North of the County. You will work alongside a Team Manager from Families First, a Team Manager from Family Help and a Social Work Consultant from First Contact who will also be working in the pilot team. Main duties will be working in the new style Family Hub, making calls, visiting families and working with multi agency to ensure the right support is identified in a timely manner (time frame of 10 days turn around).
