Early Intervention Occupational Therapist.
An opportunity has arisen for an OT within Adult social care to be part of the Early intervention OT team. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting the people of Manchester at the earliest opportunity. This role sits within a short‑term intervention service currently in its pilot phase, working with adults. The focus of the team is to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for adult social care. When additional support is required, we ensure that individuals are connected with the most appropriate services.
Our team empowers people to approach daily activities differently by providing high‑quality, person‑centred, and timely support that promotes independence, safety, and wellbeing within their own homes. We work to minimise reliance on equipment, providing only, when necessary, complete holistic assessments, support citizens into reablement when appropriate, and provide technology‑based solutions that enhance independence. In addition, we help Manchester citizens to build connections within their communities to support long‑term resilience and wellbeing.
The OT will have a good understanding of function and adaptative techniques which support independence, Reablement, equipment and adaptations and Technology enabled care.
This role will be sat within the Principal Occupational Therapy Team, and report to the Early Intervention OT Team Manager.
The role is city wide so car driver is essential. The role is 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday (9am – 4:30). Must be a qualified Occupational therapist registered with the HCPC.
